Expert Oncology Pharmacy Care for Lung Cancer Patients

Onco360 understands that treating lung cancer can be complicated, and we are here to help. We provide expert clinical and compassionate care with many treatment options, and we are available 24/7.

How Common is Lung Cancer:

Lung cancer is the third most common cancer in both men and women in the United States with close to 235,000 new cases estimated for 2024. But that number is declining due to fewer people smoking cigarettes and advances in early detection and treatment.1

Two main types:2

Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)

About 80-85% of lung cancers are NSCLC and the subtypes include adenocarcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, large cell carcinoma, adenosquamous carcinoma, and sarcomatoid carcinoma.

Small cell lung cancer (SCLC)

About 10-15% of all lung cancers are SCLC, and sometimes referred to as oat cell cancer. It tends to spread and grow faster than NSCLC but responds well to chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

How to Prevent Lung Cancer:

Not all lung cancers can be prevented but there are a few things you can do to lower your risk.3

  • Stay away from tobacco
  • Avoid radon exposure
  • Avoid or limit exposure to cancer-causing agents
  • Eat a healthy diet
