Celebrating Survivors during National Cancer Survivors Month

National Cancer Survivors Month is a time to celebrate the resilience and strength of those who are living with or who have overcome the challenges of cancer. We highlight their courage. We are humbled by their determination. They inspire us in our mission to improve the lives of those battling cancer through compassionate care and support.

Missions Linked Through Hope

In 2023, we were introduced to the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge® community through our survivor’s stories, where resilience shines through each one of their journeys. Inspired by the mission of the Hope Lodge, we felt a connection with their dedication and support for cancer patients. With over 30 locations, the Hope Lodge is a free place to stay for patients and their caregivers when treatment is far from home. These locations feature comfortable suites with private baths, a communal kitchen, a dining area, laundry rooms, and places to gather or find some quiet time.

For the second straight year in a row, we are partnering with the Hope Lodge to extend our support in a meaningful way. Throughout the month of June, we are sending almost 1,100 care kits to be divided and distributed throughout the Hope Lodge locations in the United States. The kits contain a blanket, activity book, and colored pencils.

Embracing Self-Care as a Pillar of Resilience

We believe it’s essential to prioritize self-care during cancer treatments and recovery. Sometimes the best medicine is slowing down, getting comfortable, and embracing a little hope. By sharing our own patients’ stories of resilience, we aim to inspire and support others in their own battle with cancer. Together with the Hope Lodge, we celebrate the strength of survivors and the enduring spirit of hope.
