Onco360® Has Been Selected as a National Pharmacy Partner for CAVHANZA™ (nilotinib)
Louisville, KY — Onco360®, the nation’s leading independent Specialty Pharmacy, has been selected as a pharmacy partner by Cycle Pharmaceuticals for Cavhanza™ (nilotinib) orally disintegrating tablets (ODT), which is indicated for the treatment of adult patients with newly diagnosed Philadelphia chromosome-positive chronic myeloid leukemia (Ph+ CML) in chronic phase. Cavhanza is also indicated for the treatment of adult patients with chronic phase and accelerated phase Philadelphia chromosome-positive chronic myelogenous leukemia (Ph+ CML) resistant or intolerant to prior therapy that included imatinib.1

CAVHANZA offers a distinct option within the nilotinib landscape, being administrable alongside proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) and/or H2 receptor antagonists (H2RAs) with no timing restrictions.1 In addition, as the first FDA-approved ODT formulation of nilotinib, CAVHANZA offers simplified administration: tablets can be taken with or without food or water, providing flexibility for patients and supporting adherence to therapy.1
The most common non-hematologic adverse reactions include rash, pruritus, headache, nausea, fatigue, alopecia, myalgia, abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, and vomiting. Hematologic adverse reactions include thrombocytopenia, neutropenia, and anemia.1 Serious adverse reactions include QT prolongation, sudden death, febrile neutropenia, and intracranial hemorrhage.
